ABOUT US

Meet Your Pastor

Pastor Jack and his wife, Julie, have been married for over 33 years and two sons, Christian and Noah. They’ve both been serving the Lord for their entire marriage. In 2017, Pastor Jack began leading Calvary Chapel Golden Valley. Soon after, they were led to begin a “Special Needs Ministry”, as their 26 year old son, Noah, was diagnosed with severe autism at just 2 and a half years old.

We’d be honored to serve you!

What We Believe

Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the foundation and cornerstone of the church. He came to restore man's broken relationship with God. His finished work on the cross made it possible. Because of His love demonstrated on the cross by dying for our sins, we now have reason to fellowship with one another and proclaim salvation through His life, death, and resurrection. 1 Corinthians 3:11 Ephesians 2:20 Romans 5:6-10.

What is the Bible?

The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and is relevant and applicable to man today. Therefore, we place a great emphasis upon teaching it in public, studying it in private, and using it as a guide for our daily lives. 1Timothy 4:13, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1Thessalonians 2:13

How we see worship.

We believe God is worthy of all praise, reverence and love. We take special time to worship Him in church through song. It is our goal to worship Him with our whole lives, as well as at home, work and at play. John 4:23, Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 4:15

What is Christian Growth?

Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage this by abiding in Jesus Christ through His word, prayer, fellowship, and by yielding our lives to the Holy Spirit. John 15:5, Romans 8:29, Ephesians 4:15

How do we view love?

Love is the greatest virtue and demonstration of the reality of Jesus Christ. We endeavor to show Christ-like love toward all men. Love should be exhibited in our lives by our words as well as our actions. John 13:34, 1 Corinthians 13:13, Philippians 2:3-5.

What is Christian Service?

Christian service is part of the Christian life and is the responsibility of all believers. Our goal is to develop the ministry of every member to the benefit of all. Ephesians 4:11-13, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

Who we are

Calvary Chapel Church has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to know Christ and be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. In the tradition of Chuck Smith, founder of Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational Christian fellowship, Calvary Chapel's teaching is expository, which means biblical scripture is taught verse-by-verse. According to the CCA, teaching from the “whole word of God” cannot be accomplished with topical sermons. We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
